Clement Valla's Postcards from Google Earth series features images captured from Google Earth, highlighting the anomalies created by its automated process of merging aerial photos and cartographic data. These glitches, resulting from varying time periods and perspectives, reveal the constraints of digital mapping algorithms, creating a distorted, hybrid geography. Valla's postcards depict tangled, non-sites that evoke network communication, places that will eventually vanish as Google's mapping system continues to refine and update.
